PERSONNEL
WTT takes pride in our work. We take our responsibility to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the medical records seriously. Our mission is to provide services of the highest professional standards. We are confident that we adhere to the most stringent security and confidentiality standards, WTT has demonstrated the ability to perform timely and accurate transcription services for the clients we currently serve and for other highly sensitive documentation clients we have served in the past. Our broad range of experience provides us with the background and skills necessary to understand the nature and extent of medical transcription and to provide the services required. Therefore we don’t hire anyone who would be considered an unsuitable hire.
All transcription personnel are background checked, and take yearly HIPAA & Privacy Training and Cyberspace Security courses, All staff have a clear understanding of the confidential nature of Protected Health Information (PHI).and have signed Confidentiality Statement on file.
WTT underwent background investigation with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) with a favorable adjudication allowing us clearance us to handle active duty and retired military personnel medical records.
EQUIPMENT
All of our systems and processes fully comply with applicable standards for the protection of privacy and data security. Access to facility information and systems via our network is maintained at the highest level of protection available in order to thwart unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.
All dictated and transcribed files are stored in our physically secured server room in a locked facility. All server files are stored on RAID1, encrypted drives. Transcriptionists have no access to transcribed files and only temporary access to audio files needed for transcription. The dictation/transcription system is HIPAA and HITECH compliant through the use of FIPS 140-2, 128-bit encrypted peer-to-peer socketed connections.
All network equipment sits behind a combination of a Cisco Firewall/VPN device with additional Cisco routers.
