WTT certifies we will comply with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and take all precautions required by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JACHO) as interpreted by Army Regulation 40-66, paragraph 203 to protect patients’ rights to privacy and maintain confidentiality. The Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and Privacy Act of 1974, Public Law 93-579, the requirements of the FPM Chapters 731, Subchapter 2 under Executive Order 10450, etc., in accordance with FPM Chapters 731 and 732, 5 CFR Ch. 1 (1-1-95 edition) and Executive Order 10450, and 38 U.S.C. Sections 3301, 3305 and 4132 regarding confidentially, Fraud and Related Activity in Connection Access Devices and Computers, 18 U.S.C. 1029-1030, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 PL 99-508, Computer Security Act of 1987, PL 100-235, as well as National Integrated Accreditation for Health Care Organizations (NIAHO) privacy practices and principals as stated in the Critical Access Hospitals Accreditation Requirements Section PR.1, subsection SR.8.
WTT underwent background investigation with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) with a favorable adjudication allowing us clearance us to handle active duty and retired military personnel medical records.
